Biography:
Luis María Santiago Eduardo Solari de la Fuente was born on January 28, 1948, in Lima, Peru. He is a Peruvian politician of Italian descent and a founding member of Possible Peru. Solari studied internal medicine at the National University of San Marcos and gained notice in his work for the Catholic Church in Peru, receiving the title of commander from the Holy See in 1997. He is also a member of Sodalicio de Vida Cristiana. Solari served as Health Minister and introduced a Day of the Unborn, opposing abortion. He was also Prime Minister of Peru and later switched to the National Solidarity Party.
