Biography:

María Antonia Ordóñez is a Cuban-Puerto Rican artist born in Havana, Cuba in 1952. She studied art at the University of Puerto Rico, the Art Students League, and the Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico. Ordóñez is known for her drawings and paintings, and her work often explores themes of identity, culture, and social issues. She has received grants from the Programa de Subvención Básica para las Artes (PSBA) from the Institue of Puerto Rican Culture. Ordóñez currently lives and works in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.
