Biography:

María Jesús Monclús Cuadrado is a Spanish hospital administrator and politician of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). She was born in Seville, Spain, in 1966. Monclús is currently the Vice President of the Government of Spain and Minister of Hacienda and Public Function. She has been a member of the Spanish Parliament since 2008, representing the province of Seville. Monclús has also served as the Minister of Health and Consumer Affairs from 2008 to 2010. She is a medical doctor by profession and has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Seville. Monclús is also a member of the Andalusian Parliament and has been a member of the Regional Government of Andalusia since 2004. She has been a member of the PSOE since 1995 and has held various positions within the party, including the position of Secretary of Organization and Secretary of Equality. Monclús is known for her work in promoting gender equality and social justice in Spain.
