Biography:
Miquel Blay i Fàbregas was a Spanish sculptor born in Olot, Spain in 1866 and died in Madrid, Spain in 1936. He was known for his sculptures in the Modernisme style. Blay studied in Paris under Henri Chapu and won a gold medal in the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889. He was named knight of the French Legion of Honor in 1890. Blay's most famous works include 'Against the invader'.
