Mykolas Elvyras Andriolis, also known as Elviro Michele Andriolli, was a Polish illustrator, painter, and architect of Italian descent. He is notable for his illustrations to Mickiewicz's Pan Tadeusz, as well as a distinctive style of villas built outside Warsaw. Born on November 2, 1836, in Vilnius, then part of the Russian Empire, Andriolli was the son of Francesco Andriolli, an Italian veteran of Napoleon Bonaparte's Grande Armée, and a Polish noblewoman Petronella Gośniewska de Nowina.

Andriolli started his studies at the School of Painting and Sculpture in Moscow in 1855. He graduated from the Imperial Academy of Art in Petersburg in 1858. In 1861, he received a scholarship and continued his studies at the Accademia di San Luca in Rome. After returning to Wilno, Andriolli took part in the January Uprising against Russian rule in Congress Poland.
