Biography:
Napoléon Jacques, also known as Napoléon Charles Bonaparte, 5th Prince of Canino and Musignano, was born on February 5, 1839, in Rome. He was the son of Charles Lucien Bonaparte and his wife, Zénaïde Bonaparte. Napoléon Jacques served in the French Army and saw action during the French intervention in Mexico and the Franco-Prussian War. He married Maria Cristina Ruspoli on November 25, 1859, and had three daughters. Napoléon Jacques succeeded as 5th Prince of Canino and Musignano on November 19, 1895, following the death of his brother Lucien. He died on February 11, 1899.
