Biography:
Olga Terri was an Estonian painter who studied etching at the Estonian Academy of Applied Arts in Tallinn from 1930 to 1936 and later took painting classes under Erich Haamer. She worked for the Tallinn Artistic Products Combine from 1950 to 1968 before focusing on her personal work. Terri's approach to painting was very personal, reflecting her travel experiences or existential tensions. Her style evolved over time, moving from almost monochrome works in the 1940s to more light-rich landscapes and city views in the 1950s. Despite living quietly in Tallinn, Terri's creation is considered a discovery, with each work regarded as an event.
