Omar Velázquez is a Puerto Rican artist born in 1984. He has exhibited his work in numerous key galleries and museums, including MCA, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and Corbett vs. Dempsey. Velázquez explores the intersection of music, painting, and folklore in his art, and is known for his vivid paintings and sculptures that inhabit an intense, psychological space. He is currently represented by Corbett vs. Dempsey and lives and works in Puerto Rico.
