Paco Polán is a Spanish sculptor and photographer born in Pamplona, Navarra in 1963. He studied Fine Arts at the University of the Basque Country, specializing in sculpture. In 1990, he completed a postgraduate course at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris with a scholarship. Polán's work is characterized by its eclecticism and use of various techniques, materials, and mediums to explore themes such as death, landscape, identity, and art itself. His sculptures often incorporate irony and humor, and he has also worked with photography to create conceptual pieces that challenge the viewer's perceptions.
