SatOne, also known as Rafael Gerlach, is a German artist born in Hamburg in 1977. He is a member of the Jauch family, a Hanseatic family with roots in long-distance merchandising and hereditary grand burghers of Hamburg. SatOne's artistic journey began in the early 1990s when he was inspired by the burgeoning graffiti scene in Germany. He quickly gained recognition for his unique style, which combines photorealistic elements with abstract shapes and vibrant colors. Over the years, SatOne has evolved his artistic language to include various mediums, such as canvas, murals, and sculptures. His work often explores themes of identity, perception, and the relationship between the individual and their environment.
