Ramón Luis Rivera Cruz, also known as Ramón Agosto, was born on February 3, 1956, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. He is a Puerto Rican politician affiliated with the New Progressive Party. He is the current Mayor of Bayamón, a position he has held since 2000, after succeeding his father, Ramón Luis Rivera, who served as mayor for 23 years. Ramón Luis Rivera Cruz served as a member of the Senate of Puerto Rico for the District of Bayamón from 1993 to 2000. He has been reelected as mayor of Bayamón four times since then. In addition to his political career, Ramón Luis Rivera Cruz is also known for his work as an artist, using the name Ramón Agosto.
