Ras Daniel Heartman, also known as Lloyd George Roberts, was a Jamaican artist and religious leader born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1942. He is known for his ink drawings and his role in the film 'The Harder They Come' where he played Pedro. Heartman was also the first Rastafarian to feature in such a high-profile film and was known in art circles as an intuitive artist. He was able to capture the quintessence of Jamaican identity in his art, exposing powerful images that resonated with the people. Heartman passed away in 1989.
