Biography:

René Bertrand-Boutèe, also known as René Bertrand, was a French sculptor born in Maubeuge, France in 1877 and died in Les Sables-d'Olonne, France in 1969. He was a member of the Société des artistes français and obtained a medal of 2nd class at the Salon des artistes français in 1906. He is known for his sculptures, including the Statue of Liberty in Lima, Peru, and the bust of Horace Wells in Paris. He also worked as a cinematographer and engineer.
