René Grégoire was a French sculptor, medallist, and stamp designer. He was born on June 4, 1871, in Saumur, France, and died on April 14, 1945, in Paris. Grégoire studied at the École des beaux-arts de Paris under Hubert Ponscarme and won the Grand Prix de Rome in 1899 for his work in engraving and fine stone. He is known to have designed medals and stamps, and his work was likely influenced by the Art Nouveau style.
