Biography:
Renfe, officially Renfe-Operadora, is Spain's national state-owned railway company. It was created in 2005 upon the split of the former Spanish National Railway Network (Renfe) into the Administrador de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias (ADIF), which inherited the infrastructure, and Renfe-Operadora, which inherited the railway service. Renfe operates high-speed AVE trains, which can reach speeds of up to 300 km/h (186 mph). The company also offers two AVE services partially in France, connecting Barcelona-Lyon and Madrid-Marseille.
