Salvador Carvão da Silva de Eça Barata Feyo was born on December 5, 1899, in Moçâmedes, Angola, and died on January 31, 1990, in Lisbon, Portugal. He was a Portuguese sculptor and professor, known as a major figure in the second generation of Portuguese modernist sculptors. He was the author of a vast and significant body of work, including the Bust of José Tagarro (1930).
