Biography:

Turkish novelist, playwright, and screenwriter Sedef Isim/LCF (also known as Sedef Ecer) practices multiple forms of writing in Turkish and French. Her novel Trésor national, published by JC Lattès in January 2021, received an enthusiastic welcome from critics and booksellers. Her texts have been staged, read, or broadcast (international festivals, national stages, subsidized or private, both abroad and in public spaces, cafes, libraries, or schools) studied in college programs, high school programs, theater departments of universities (including Columbia University, Berkeley, Sciences Po Paris, Queens College, the Sorbonne, University of Peloponnese...) translated into Armenian, Greek, German, Italian, English, Polish, Turkish, Persian, obtained prizes, writing grants, and finally published in several countries. She is a laureate of CNC, CNT, Beaumarchais Grant, Velasquez Prize, Procirep, Mediterranean Meetings, SCAM, Ile-de-France Region, Guérande National Playwriting Prize, "Lycéens' Favorite", she has also written for radio (France Culture-RFI), cinema, and television (France 3 - selected in the category 'Best Comedy' at the La Rochelle Festival). She entered the 'Universal Dictionary of Creators' in 2014 (UNESCO). She is a member of SACD and founder member of the Parliament of Francophone Women Writers. As part of a sensitivity to feminine writings, her name has been given to a street in the city of Schiltigheim with eight other female writers... She is also a chronicler in Turkish, having published over 500 articles. She is the translator of Charlotte Delbo, Montaigne, and Saint Exupéry into Turkish.
