Biography:
Simão Rodrigues de Évora was a Portuguese Catholic priest and one of the co-founders of the Society of Jesus. He was a Portuguese nobleman and took vows of poverty and chastity at the chapel of Montmartre, along with Ignatius of Loyola and other companions. Rodrigues was also known as Simon Rodericks in English.
