Suzy González is an American artist and activist, known for her thought-provoking paintings and zines that explore social and political issues. Born in 1989 in Austin, Texas, González was raised in Houston and developed a strong sense of identity as Xicana, Queer, and vegan.

Early Life and Education

González attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, where she earned a BFA degree in Studio Art in 2012. During her time at university, she co-founded the zine Yes Ma’am. In 2015, González graduated with an MFA degree in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).

Artistic Career
