Takeuchi Meihō 竹内鳴鳳, a Japanese-style painter, was born in Kyoto prefecture in 1888. He was the son of Takeuchi Seihō 竹内清邦, a famous Japanese-style painter. Meihō graduated from the Kyoto Municipal Art & Crafts College and went on to have a successful career as an artist.
Meihō's early life was marked by his exposure to traditional Japanese art and culture. His father, Takeuchi Seihō 竹内清邦, was a well-known painter, and Meihō likely learned the basics of painting from him.
