Biography:
Ganjō Tengaku was a Japanese artist born in Edo (now Tokyo) in 1804. He was known for his paintings and prints, particularly his depictions of birds and flowers. Tengaku was a member of the Utagawa school, a prominent group of artists in the late Edo period. He died in 1876.
