Biography:

Božo Račič, also known as Theodor Julius Račič, was a Slovenian teacher, etnographer, and producer. He was born on December 26, 1887, in Čatež ob Savi, Slovenia, and died on May 26, 1980, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Račič was the director of the State Central Institute for Women's Home Craft in Ljubljana between the two World Wars. He was also an avid ethnographer, particularly interested in home crafts and women's work. Račič was known for his contributions to the preservation and promotion of Slovenian folk culture, and was often referred to as 'kume' (godfather) in his home region of Bela Krajina. He was also a founder of the MMPRODUCTION production house in Budva, Montenegro.
