Biography:

Hashimoto Sadahide was a Japanese artist born in 1807 and died in 1873. He is best known for his prints in the ukiyo-e style as a member of the Utagawa school. His works covered various genres, including Yokohama-e pictures of foreigners in Yokohama during the 1860s when he was a popular artist. Hashimoto Sadahide was also part of the Tokugawa shogunate's delegation to the International Exposition of 1867 in Paris.
