Biography:

Vicenç Prunes i Lloret, also known as Vicenç Prunes, was a Catalan cartographer and musician. He was born in Navarcles, Spain, and received his basic musical education in his hometown and at the Escolania de Montserrat. He later became a pianist and accompanied the concerts of the Escolania outside of Montserrat. In addition to his musical career, Prunes is known for his nautical chart drawn in Mallorca in 1600, which is made up of five sheets of parchment. The first is the front cover, and is illustrated with the scene of the Calvary. He also worked as a music teacher at the Escola Municipal de Música Josep Maria Ruera in Granollers, Spain.
