Waldo Antonio Saavedra González is a Cuban-Mexican artist born on July 26, 1961, in Havana, Cuba. He specializes in various techniques of painting, including murals, oil, watercolor, collage, figurative art, hyperrealism, and abstract art. Saavedra has worked as a painter, sculptor, writer, and educator. He has also designed costumes and scenery for concerts and has participated in the creation of films and television programs. Saavedra's work has been exhibited in various countries, including Germany, Belgium, Argentina, Mexico, and Cuba. He has received several awards and honors for his art, including the First Prize in Painting at the Caibarén Art Salon in 1981 and the First Prize in the Salón de Dibujo Posada in 1992.
