Biography:

Yojiro Imasaka is a Japanese artist born in Hiroshima in 1983. He moved to the United States in 2007 and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Imasaka received a BFA in Photography from Nihon University College of Art in Tokyo in 2007 and an MFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2010. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in the United States and Japan, including Miyako Yoshinaga Gallery in New York, Denver Botanic Gardens in Colorado, and Tucson Botanical Gardens in Arizona. Imasaka's photography often features landscapes and still lifes that evoke a sense of mystery and wonder. He uses long exposure times and careful composition to create images that are both ethereal and deeply rooted in the physical world.
