Yoshihiro Suda is a Japanese contemporary artist known for his hyper-realistic sculptures or installations of plants and flowers created in the tradition of Japanese woodcarving. He was born in Yamanashi, Japan in 1969. Suda's works are featured in numerous key galleries and museums such as Gallery Koyanagi. He honed his wood-carving skills to create sculptures of various types of flora (flowers, plants, etc.) that are so elaborate that they are often mistaken for real plants. Suda's works are described as reactivating and subverting the art of Japanese woodcarving.
