Biography:

Zdenek Mezl is a Canadian former ski jumper who was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia on July 13, 1948. He competed in the 1972 Winter Olympics. Mezl is also known for his work as a printmaker, primarily in the medium of wood engraving. He studied at the College of Applied Arts and later graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague. Mezl is best known for his illustrations, which have been published in several books, including 'A Battle for Cathedral or Hey, Slavs!'.
