Zdzisław Mackiewicz was a Polish actor born on July 9, 1927, in Warsaw. He died on October 9, 1977. During World War II, he served in the Home Army and participated in the Warsaw Uprising under the pseudonym 'Hanzen'. After the war, he studied acting in Kraków and later graduated from the Theatre Academy in Warsaw in 1950. Mackiewicz was an actor in various theatres, including Teatr Syrena, Teatr Polski, and Teatr Ludowy. He also worked with the Coastal Theatre in Gdańsk and the Chamber Theatre in Wrocław. In his film career, he played roles alongside Jan Himilsbach and Andrzej Kondratiuk. Mackiewicz struggled with alcohol abuse and died after being beaten by police while intoxicated.
