Biography:
Zheng Sixiao was a Chinese painter and poet who lived during the Yuan Dynasty. He is known for his ink paintings of orchids, which were often used as symbols of resilience and perseverance in Chinese art. Zheng Sixiao was born in Fujian province in 1241 and died in 1318. During his lifetime, he witnessed the fall of the Song Dynasty and the rise of the Mongol-led Yuan Dynasty. He is considered one of the founders of the literati painting tradition in China.
