A Dutch Delft De Porceleyne Fles VOC plate designed by Adolf le Comte (1850-1921). The plate celebrates the 300 year anniversary of the Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie (VOC) or Dutch East India Company. The plate depicts the coat of arms of the former Dutch colonies of the Dutch East Indies (Indonesia) and Batavia (Java). The plate itself is decorated in Persian colors, something De Comte was experimenting with in the late 1910s.
