Portrait of Cornelis Theodorus Elout (1767-1841). Commissioner General (1816-19). Kneepiece, standing, with the right hand pointing to a passage in an open book lying at the bottom left on a table. Here also a book entitled "Constitution" on the back and the stitch. The left hand on the fort of his sword. Right above the family weapon. Posthuum portrait based on portraits of Charles Howard Hodges and L.A. Vincent. Part of a series of portraits of the governors-general of the former Dutch East Indies.
