Luxury shoesLuxury shoes have become a characteristic modern thing. An elegant woman has the same number of pairs of shoes as she has dresses, and there is a special pair of shoes designated for every dress. “What a shoe collection of season 1914 must contain” is what we learn from Hellstern et Sons, a manufacturer and supplier of luxury shoes for Parisian and foreign fashionistas.Bottom of the page, left to right: charming laced sateen shoes decorated with rhinestones and straps with shimmering precious stones. Next are shoes for morning walks and black satin dinner shoes with bands crossed around the ankle.Near them is a pair of morning dishabille shows.Here are charming shoes with straps, next to them is a pair that is perfect for the English costume, at the top they are decorated with a small buckle that resembles the one on the ankle. In the round frames are different shoes — we owe their design and creation to the fantasy and excellent taste of Hellstern. In the right medallion is the height of fashion — Cleopatra sandals worn with no stockings. They are supported by a strap between the first two fingers of the foot and end in a strap that goes around the ankle and is attached to the heel.
