It is the initial idea of the well-known “Cupid and Psyche couchant” group in marble at the Louvre (Paris), in marble at the Hermitage Museum (St. Petersburg) and plaster at the Metropolitan Museum (New York). A similar terracotta is to be found at the Correr Museum in Venice together with an oil on canvas showing Cupid and Psyche couchant similar to the marble found at the Louvre.
