A profile portrait depicting a woman against a dark background. The female figure bears tied back brown hair and a condescending and proud look in her eyes. She dons a green hat with pink and white floral ornaments, a green coat and a white collar shirt. In this painting the unmistakable style of Columbano is already at its greatest and is patent in use of the dark background that seems to consume the bust and the ornaments and in the way the woman’s face is highlighted by the lighting.
