Kadam leaves are used medicinally in easternIndia as a treatment for diabetes. In eastern Asia they have a variety of usesincluding the treatment of wounds. This is a very fast-growingtree that reaches 45m in height. It is grown for its cheap, light wood, whichis made into packing cases, tea chests or disposable chopsticks.
