The Coronation of the Virgin (1591) is a oil on canvas painting by the Spanish Renaissance painter, sculptor and architect El Greco. Some scholars assume that this is the first version of the subject later elaborated in the church of Talavera la Vieja, Toledo, in the Capilla de San José, Toledo, and in the Hospital de la Caridad, Illescas. The painting (90 x 100 cm) is in the collection of the Museo del Prado, Madrid.
