Mount San Giuliano – (Francesco Lojacono) Previous Next

Artist:

Date: 1875

Museum: Gallery of Modern Art

Technique: Oil On Canvas

The painting shows a corner of the old village of Mount San Giuliano, present-day Erice, a town near Trapani in Sicily. It is depicted on a cloudy day with an oblique viewpoint which confines the presence of human figures to the foreground. The canvas shows a Realistic intention, the same we find in the contemporary production of Filippo Palizzi, Lojacono’s masters in Naples.
