George Elmer Browne was an American artist known his landscape paintings.Born in Massachusetts in 1871, Browne studied at the Cowles Art School and Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, as well as the Académie Julian in Paris. In 1916, Browne founded the West End School of Art at his summer home in Provincetown.
