Technique: Stained Glass
Stained-glass window V12 of Milan Duomo, together with the other two placed in the southern side (V11 and V13), stands over the altar dedicated to Saint John the Good, Archbishop of Milan who lived in the 7th century: the relics of the Saint were moved to the Cathedral by Saint Charles Borromeo in 1582. The large window depicts the Glory of the Saint, remembered for having fought the Aryan heresy of the Lombard king Grimoald and for having brought back the residence of the Milanese Bishops to Milan from Genoa, where it had been moved in 569.
