The miniature represents a view of Saint Mark Square and it was realized by Giovanni Migliara, painter and scenographer coming from Alessandria. Formed as a wood carver with Luigi Zuccoli, he moved then to the theater painting at the school of Gaspare Galliari; however, he was obliged to interrupt the scenographer activity because of his serious health conditions. He painted a lot of fantasy, landscape and perspective views.
