"The Gleaners" (Des glaneuses) is an oil painting by Jean-Francois Millet, painted in 1857. It depicts three peasant women who, after the harvest, pick up stray stalks of wheat in the field. The painting is known for its sympathetic portrayal of the lowest strata of rural society at the time; this was not well received by the French upper classes. The original painting is oil on canvas and measures 83.8 cm × 111.8 cm (33 in × 44 in). The painting is located in Musée d'Orsay, Paris.
