Fata Morgana is a painting that I started by the end of 2018 and originally was only a landscape that I saw during a trip to Iceland. In my works, the European pictorial tradition and mass culture are recurring subjects. In this case, for instance, poetics from landscape painting interact in combination with elements from audiovisual animation and technologic objects from the past. Following the manner of the renaissance painters of Northern Europe, my work consists of some kind of collage to which I add elements that I want to incorporate, and thus I create a narration. I am interested in a story that transmits my personal experience with art history, society and with life itself, in order to compose a work that provides an escape from daily life and a contact with the eternal and transcendental.
