Woman with flipped forelock of hair, Mine Okubo, observes bachelors socializing outside of barracks 14 in her district of the Tanforan Assembly Center, California during World War II. Dressed in cross-patterned top, Mine stands in profile at far left, facing right. In foreground, the head and shoulder of a man in coat faces the viewer next to a woman who faces a way from viewer. At midground two men stand talking beside clotheslines at left while two other men stand beneath it talking to four men seated on a bench against a barracks. A mattress and some clothing hang on clothesline. Another barracks is visible at top right corner.
