Dressed in cross-patterned top, Mine stands in profile at far left, facing right. In foreground, the head and shoulder of a man in coat faces the viewer next to a woman who faces a way from viewer. At midground two men stand talking beside clotheslines at left while two other men stand beneath it talking to four men seated on a bench against a barracks. A mattress and some clothing hang on clothesline. Another barracks is visible at top right corner.
