The life experiences of Mu Pan (Taichung City, Taiwan, 1976) have left their mark on much of his work. Dinoasshole chapter 8: Fish die and the net breaks is part of the Dinoassholes series, a collection of adventures created for his child. The sea is a recurring feature in Mu Pan’s work, the scene of numerous battles, and animals with human features are also regular protagonists. The Asian-American artist Mu Pan has made mixing cultures his personal brand. His works present multiple narrative layers, personal reflections on human behaviour where humour and violence often come together.
