During the transition government that started on Feb. 11th 2011 in Egypt, when President Mubarak stepped down, graffiti denouncing the actions of the Army in power started spreading all over the country. This was the first time in the history of the Egypt that walls were used by the citizens as a media for political expression.Soon anti-Revolutionaries or remnants of the old regime joined by trying to express their own opinion on top of the existing graffiti. This body of works presents the aggressive dialogue between all the new players (Muslim Brothers, Pro Mubarak, Liberal activists etc.), showing the deep division in the Egyptian society that the country has been witnessing as a result of the imposed transition government. All the Graffiti have been regularly painted over by the SCAF (Supreme Council of the Armed Forces) leading this transition, making them ephemeral and therefore always renewed.
