Date: 2013

Museum: Kochi-Muziris Biennale (Kochi, India)

Technique: Terracotta

Artist Statement:A cluster of my sculptures is presented in this site specific installation. Fiber glass, wood, copper, coir, terracotta, and various found objects are used to create these different pieces. The largest one is an image of a human, riding an animal. Various elements from the immediate surroundings based on my daily observations are incorporated in this main sculpture. The forward movement of the human-animal combination and the intimate relationship of them, towards the objects around also are suggested in this, by incorporating those elements. The concept of conservatory is relevant in this installation. Certain smaller sculptures and found objects are stored in the shelves, like ancient memories. This site-specific installation is intended to go beyond the conventional gallery concepts.
