Naked - The great chamber is a work by the Dutch artist Robbie Cornelissen (Utrecht, Netherlands, 1954). Working with graphite pencil, the Dutch artist creates monumental drawings, highly detailed architectural spaces that act as metaphors for the mind. Human figures are absent in these spaces, leaving the viewers as sole protagonists, free to wander as they please and get lost in his drawings. Memories, thoughts, and the access to them through the universal gesture of putting pencil to paper are central to Cornelissen’s practice, which also extends to site-specific projects and stop-motion films.
