This outdoor photograph was taken at Chorowice in Kraków poviat, probably in spring, likely by Seweryn Udziela. It depicts a rural cottage by the road, surrounded by trees. This single-building, chimneyless farmstead is broad-fronted and its residential section is whitewashed. It is covered with a hip roof of old thatch overgrown with moss in places, with no smoke-holes.
