About the artist: Elize McKelvey (SSgt, USMC) (1990 - present) Elize McKelvey graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Lesley College of Art and Design in 2012 and enlisted in the Marine Corps. McKelvey deployed with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit in 2015. In 2019, she was selected as a combat artist and documented Marine Corps operations in Kuwait and Iraq. She ended her service in October 2020 and is currently a freelance artist.
